Elevator
Swarovski stands for glamour, beauty, and luxury. Behind the sparkling façade lies a history of dark truths: Nazi connections, forced labour, political alliances, billion-dollar losses, secret societies, ruined lives, attempted murder, and spectacular love affairs.
DARK SWAN is a chronicle of European decadence — from the beginnings in a Tyrolean workshop one hundred and sixty years ago to today's global stage spanning Vienna, Paris, London, Capri, New York.
Six generations. One closed circle.
Portraits are symbolic · all likenesses representative.

One hundred and sixty-four years, in eleven breaths.
Dreams fade.
Glamour remains.

Cradle of the empire
The first factory, the Fortress, the Crystal Worlds. A closed mountain village that became a military high-security area — and the centre of power.

The stage
Social appearances, political deals, legal dramas. The tiaras. The trials. The Opera Ball.

The secret
An alpine sanctuary for the Grail movement: chalice, procession, vision. Outsiders are not admitted.

The escape
Secluded from the rest of the world. Where Fiona flees. Where the finale burns.
How this story is told.
Cinematography
Alternating between static portraits and the nervous handheld of crisis. 35mm grain, anamorphic wide, deep velvet blacks broken by prismatic highlight.
Narrative voice
A strong narrator — the voice of history — with ironic undertones. A mixture of historical documents, original quotes, fictional dialogue, and compiled media reports.
Music
Classical and pop, deployed contrapuntally. A Schubert lied across an arson. Saint-Saëns across a tribunal. A contemporary torch song across a child shattering the last crystal.
Mood
Glamour and abyss. Glittering surfaces with rotting cores. A mixture of fairy tale, chronicle, tragedy, and satire.
